Leveraging Novadaq’s core technology platform, SPY produces real-time images of blood flow through the vasculature indicative of reperfusion in the transplanted organ. SPY images may assist transplant surgeons in making intra-operative decisions and may potentially contribute to improved procedural and longer term outcomes. Initial independent familiarity studies performed at Baylor Medical Center demonstrated that SPY provided many potentially useful benefits in assessing intra-operative organ perfusion.
